My cyber Law professor once said, “every human being has criminal instinct in him/her… Its just the way that we are brought up differentiates you from others… She had asked us one simple question, “what is a crime?” and to which she only gave a very simple answer which said, “Everything that your mom said is not good or you should not do will most of the times me wrong or a crime which will harm you in some way.”
Now why am I blabbering about crimes and criminals…. Moving on… GOOD, BAD and UGLY is my blogpost after almost a year and a half. This one is my take on the age old topic of a GOOD GUY and BAD BOY… Please note… The good one is a guy and a bad one is a boy… Though I am not a particular fan of the term good guy… it seems too childish and goody goody to call him like that. So henceforth he shall be referred to as a NICE GUY.
So what is this whole thing about?? Lets start with the BAD BOY first…
Bad boys are always a hit amongst girls for some weird ass reason….. 23 and a half years have taught me this… I have tried to reason it out and here are a few things that I concluded…
· Bad Boys always have a certain mystery and the thrill of unknown around them which for some reason excites girls… I mean yeah it can be intriguing but it definitely cannot be the reason to do STUPID things..
· Bad boys always are necessarily accompanied with some bad habit… and for definition of bad habit… refer “Mom’s Dictionary”
· Now they aren’t evil either… What makes them bad is the very simple fact that they are not as good as the nice guys
· Over Gentlemanly and over chivalrous
· They are Super Jealous of NICE GUYS…
· One very simple point… A nice guy can become a bad boy and then do a reverse transition again… But once a bad boy … always a bad boy…
· Now bad boys further divide themselves into 2 categories.
o One which do exceptionally well in life…
§ Now these sons of bitches are the luckiest bastards alive… They freaking get everything they want… or so it has happened in the 23 years of life that I have seen
o The ones who don’t well in life.
§ Well the category speaks for itself (Again … No offence bad boys… Even Nice guys have this category… .. We will come to that)
Now … Moving on… The Nice guys…
There are no set of points for the nice guys… Typically these are
- Ones who follow rules… rather bends them only when needed…
- Take calculated risks
- Sincere
- Honest
- Understanding
- Adjusting
o Yeah this is like the biggest quality they have which generally screws them only.
· They aren’t the gentlemanly types okay… Again… a bad boy can be a better gentleman than a nice guy…
· Nice guys will be gentleman only when needed :P
Nice guys split up into two categories
o One with whom nice things happen and they finish first.
§ Now these buggers have everything going for them… Somehow they sail through everything and get all the glory and limelight associated with that. To quote an example of this… MS Dhoni… Sehwag… Kohli…. (might be lame examples but bhavnaaon ko samjho)
o The ones who suffer the most and yet don’t stop being nice.
§ Now poor souls…. They get their share of limelight but they never ever get their full worth. Simple example : Rahul Dravid.
§ He did everything…. Adjusted so much (told u na Adjusting quality is a bitch) … Right from opening the batting to wicket keeping… He did everything and was Always there…
§ Strong as AMBUJA CEMENT… The wall…
They generally finish last
Maybe there is a very cynical tone to this… but no…. These nice guys have one thing that drives them…. Most of the times it doesn’t matter to them because they are always optimistic about life… They believe whatever happens … happens for the best… (quite frankly they don’t have any other option in life but well … it’s a nice thing to wake up in the morning and feel that yes… today will be different) .
Don’t get me wrong… I am not saying that no one appreciates them, but its much less than what they actually deserve…( or so I feel.)
I have purposely left out other walks of life (read: girls) as examples for these 4 types because then the blogpost would be too obvious :D :P
Anyways… What is Ugly then…. I hope u are wondering about that.
Ugly is when the nice guy has it enough and turns bad… Things realllyy get nasty then… and no one wants that… (Trust me on this). The nice guys aren’t proud of it but then compromising all their life for the greater good isn’t the most comfortable thing to do either.
Mind you, a Nice guy can be badder than the baddest of the Bad guys… ( I mean this in the nice-bad way) … but then its not in his nature to do that…
To sum it up all... Salute to all the Nice Guys !!! and if you ask me … All the NICE guys are B.A.D (Brilliant And Decent!!!!)
As to who am I??? ….. I think different people will have a different opinion on this… but I think majority will answer the same :D :D
