Mysterious girl!!!
Now this year during our sports fest we had college from all over mumbai and maharastra coming to participate. Now there was this certain girl from XYZ college whom i had taken a liking to. I first time saw her playing throw ball... Now all the guys watch throwball primarily for checking out girls... but in reality its a pretty nice game with a lot of complicated rules, which take a year or two to understand fully.
Now many people taunt me and make a joke out of the fact that i watch throwball matches and cheer my college/ department for the same..... well lets just day that those guys are Gay... There is no simpler explanation to that.
So getting back to Miss Beautiful... She was a very nice girl... Pretty face, fair , decently tall, silky soft brownish hair, cute face, light brown eyes, cute face, she even had little dark circles but even those looked great on her.... really awesome girl.
My friends who were the event heads could get me her name but didn't give me her number.. for the sake of secrecy lets call her the "mystery girl"... So my bad friends didn't give me her number... but i really didn't want that..
i was just happy to see her play....
So after the tournament got over for them , she went and that was the last of it.. I just hope to see her next year.... But it was not to be that way
Apparently a friend of mine from first year knew that girl pretty well. She told me that after a fortnight... Wat crap!!!! ... Idiot girl!!!! ... but none the less i was happy to know about my mystery girl.
So this girl happened to be from a big shot family.. Doesn't matter. Days passed like that only...
Now in march ... Almost 2 months later our neighbouring college had their sports fest.... Again the beacon of hope lit up for me.. So it was yesterday when i was playing football in my college, when my friend from first year told me that my mystery girl was there at the tournament and that their college had a match against our college.. ( she thought i was at home... so she msgd me just to tease me.. But i was there in the college...) So i ran after my football practice and instead of going home i decided to go to my neighbouring college.. i was damn hungry but i didn't eat anything. That time my focus was elsewhere. I went to our back gate as it was the shortest way... but it was closed.. (Damn it!!) There was no time and i didn't want to go all the way to the main gate and the circle the entire college.. So i just climbed our wall and jumped over it..... All this just to see my mystery girl....
Damn it.. That's so uncharacteristic of me... But i was doing this.. I went into that college and called up my best friend (he studies in that college).. He greeted me at the main gate and he perfectly knew why i was there... So he took me directly to the throwball court... And there she was!!!! It was such a relief to see her again... I felt nice and light.... our college team knew why i was there and the captain and a few senior players taunted me too.. But i wasn't really listening...
She still looked the same... I mean your looks don't change in two months but still it happens many a times with us that our second look at the person doesn't create the same kind of magic as the first look does... Here the magic was still intact..
After that i went to eat something... Then the match took place and our college surprisingly lost the match.. That was saddening..
So now it was time to leave and i had asked my first year friend for an introduction with my mystery girl..
But yesterday i was in no mood for that.
The reason being every time you have a crush on someone because of their awesome looks and you try to get to know them... following cases occur
1) You talk to her and you discover that her voice is very weird... at times its too nasal or too weird which makes you go "eeeeeeeeee!!!!!!"
2) If you do get to know her better then she just becomes your good friend and then the crush vanishes and you feel that you are better off as friends.
3) Sometimes the girl like you as a brother.... ( your heart cries out Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!!)
4) The girl is too girly and a sentimental, irrational fool which changes the nice impression you had about her...
* sound of glass shattering *
5) If you are really lucky enough then that crush can turn into a true love
In my case generally cases 2 and 3 take place.... 5th case never happen in my case
But this time i didn't want any of the above cases (except 5th) to take place.. i was just content in seeing that sweet girl expressing joy on winning.
On my way back home my first year Friend told me that my mystery girl was an year older to me(*again sound of glass shattering*) and again i felt, like i have felt on countless occasions, "Damn it!!! i should have been born an year earlier...
My friend asked me "now what???... you didn't even talk to her or wait for an intro... plus she is an year older to you..... now what? "
I didn't explain any of the above cases to her....
i just told her , " Its her ( my mystery girl's) bad luck :P " ( now that characteristic of me) ....
So i didn't find out more about my mystery girl and i let that thing end then and there... but i found out one reassuring thing about myself.... I am awesome!!!!
PS: the last line is inspired from how i met your mother... and i know that barney stinson wont have any objection to that... BTW my mystery girls looks a bit like robin.... :D

Identity Crisis
Now, we all go to college or must have gone to college or will go to college someday. In colleges there is a rule that u have to wear your identity card ( I-card). Now this is a case common to all the colleges. There is a certain section of student community who always refrains from doing so. You will always find these guys/girls never wearing their I card. U go and ask them why are they not wearing their Identity, then the wide range of replies that u get have been summed up by me in this post. Funny and Idiotic replies I tell u.
REPLY NO.1) “WAT RE!! R U A KID TO WEAR AN I-CARD!!”… ya rite… only kids are to wear I cards or what. Big time industrialists, professors, bank managers , all of them wear I-cards because it gives u an identity. And why am I even explaining this reply. We all know how dumb and absurd this reply is. A kid??? When u say something like that, that shows who the Kid is…..
REPLY NO. 2) “ ITS SO BORING TO WEAR AN I-CARD!! ITS SOO UNCOOL!!”
Pheww!!!! Wearing your own identity is boring??? Are u so ashamed of your identity that you don’t want to wear something that has your name on it??? Poor fellows… I wonder what so shameful about their identity…. *sighs* God help them!! Please save them from humiliation which they might have to face as their “identity” is well…. controversial, if I may say..
REPLY NO.3) “GARAM HOTA HAI”
I mean what the F***!!! You wear proper clothes and usme garam nahi hota?? And a piece of ribbon is hanged around your neck and the makes u feel very hot and humid.. Phuleeeeeeeeeeej!!!! Come up with some better excuse.
REPLY NO.4) “SKIN IS SENSITIVE”
No trust me. I have heard this too. People say they get a rash on their skin. Now this is well….. u can accept this one, but still its too weird.
And like these there are many funny and idiotic answers that u get. “ feels nerdy to wear an i-card”, “UNCOOL” .. That is the biggest one..
I mean there is a fine on not wearing an i-card but this punishment hardly works. There should be some innovative punishment like these guys should be given a big slate or a board around their neck ( like the prisoners are given ) with their name written on it and they should be made to wear it for a week or so. Punishments like these will improve them.
And for all those who are “ashamed” of wearing their own name and the name of the institute in which they study/ work, well for all those I just have to say that these guys/girls face some real “Identity Crisis”…

Things that we see everyday.....
Well, as my last post was much appreciated I have decided to continue with the same topic. Last time it was office romance and this time its going to be college romance. I have tried to capture two most common love cases u see on the campus. Again as I have mentioned before, the characters of this story are also imaginary but there is one change now. I have put myself in this story. So this is a story of we three friends- I , Shardul , and Animesh.
Three of us are pretty good friends and we got together in our engineering years only. They say that if u have common sorrows u can get along really well; it was very true in our case. All of us were the victims of doing Engineering in
One day we had 2 back to back lectures of mathematics. Now our professor was ummm… welll… in simple words a BIG SHOT!!! (Interpret it in the way u want :P). We never sat for her lectures but as out attendance was very low we had to sit. Now it was the very first time I had sat for a double lecture and believe me people, double lectures seem to go on forever. It’s horrible. Unfortunately, we did not have any journals to complete. We are really sincere that way. We complete everything in time. :P
So we had nothing to do and so we started discussing what all 20 yr old guys, who don’t have girlfriends and long to have one, do. We discussed about our love lives.
Shardul started first. He had a very depressing experience. Actually, all of us had depressing experiences but his was the most depressing.
There was this girl in the other branch with whom he used to come everyday in bus. They used to meet everyday and slowly they became friends. They were really good friends. Shardul was a very nice guy. Good looking, down to earth, humble, very simple in the way he led his life, rich, stylish, was the college football team captain, and had almost no negative points. The girl was also very simple, decent, and sweet and there was an aura of self-respect and dignity, which always surrounded her. If u looked at them, u would feel that they are a perfect match. However, their story was far from perfect. Shardul had known her for a year or so. They had become the best of friends and shared a great equation. Attraction was natural. So was love. If u know someone really well and if he/she is your best friend then u do tend to fall for that person. And it is my belief that being very good friends is a pre-requisite for falling in love. U just cannot fall in love with someone u, whom u don’t know well. So getting back to Shardul. He fell for her and he had told Animesh and me about it. However, one mistake he did was that he also told this to Mandar who was in that girl’s class. Now this mandar, I tell u, is an a******. This idiot and his group started openly teasing Shardul. The girl obviously didn’t like it and she had asked Shardul about it. He confessed about it to her and everything was in a disarray. Now she didn’t even gave it a thought, which she would have surely given had Shardul first told her. Everything was spoiled by one mindless idiot. Days passed after that. Shardul still had the same feelings for her. He told her that he doesn’t want relationship to start right now as these were their vital years to build a career. He told herthat he loved her and that’s all. But she refused and she even stopped talking to him because people had now started teasing her too. I told shardul to get out of it. But he said to me, “I love her and that is it. I know her. She knows me. Deep down inside we both know that we suit each other perfectly well. I know I can't make her love me; I can only let her know how much I care for her. I will wait.” I guess this is what they call truly, madly, deeply. He was a hopelessly in love and was like the boy who held on to the sand in his hand very tightly. He didn’t realize that the more tighter he held it, the more it slipped from his hand. I told him this. He understood what I said. But, that was his story.
It is still to reach an end (or beginning, I should say…. We should be optimistic)
Then I just checked my watch. Still one hour to go.. shucks!! Both, Shardul and me turned to Animesh. He got a bit scared. This guy is a enigma. In school days he used to be a geek and very studious boy. Books were his only love. Slowly, slowly he started taking interest in other activities also and things other than books started occupying his mind. We asked him to tell his story.
His story was pretty short. He fell for a girl, with whom almost half of the college flirted. She too changed her boyfriends every month. Therefore, there was this startling contrast. On one hand there was Animesh, who happened to be a very simple “mama’s boy” and who was a one woman guy and on the other hand there was this girl who was well…. we all know what we call a girl who changes her boy friends every month and just uses them for her benefit. ( trying to keep my blog clean) I don’t mind the changing boyfriends part, but the worst thing was that she always saw her advantage. Once she knew that the guy wouldn’t be of any use, she would dump him. Therefore, to tell in simple words Animesh was “varan bhat” and she was a “biryani” gone sour. Animesh never confessed his feeling because he knew it was not worth it and that was the most promising part about him. He knew and he believed that he deserved better. We also told him the same thing, “ YOU DESERVE BETTER”. His feelings were genuine, but he realized that it was not worth it.
So this was his story. These two most common cases that u will find in your college life. Am I right?
Afterwards they both turned to me to hear my story. But at that time the lecture got over and I told them that I will tell them in the next maths lecture.
Fortunately / unfortunately / luckily / unluckily use whatever term u want……….. the next lecture got cancelled :P
